Location: Phoenix, Arizona Year Built: 1968
The Property
Located near the base of Piestewa Peak, this home sits on a quiet hillside lot with strong views and a classic mid-century footprint. While the structure had solid bones and a desirable location, the interior layout and finishes had not kept pace with modern living.
The existing kitchen, bathrooms, and living areas were dated and disconnected from the outdoor environment, limiting the home’s potential to take advantage of its desert setting.
Design Vision
The renovation focuses on simplifying the architecture while strengthening the connection between interior spaces and the surrounding landscape.
The design approach emphasizes clean lines, natural materials, and improved spatial flow. Interior spaces are being reworked to create a more open living environment while maintaining the scale and character of the original home.
Large glass openings and updated outdoor living areas will allow the house to better engage with its hillside setting and views of Piestewa Peak.
Renovation Scope
The project involves a comprehensive renovation of the home including a redesigned kitchen, updated bathrooms, and improved living spaces.
Interior walls are being reconfigured to create a more open and functional layout. New finishes and materials are being introduced throughout the home to modernize the interior while maintaining a restrained mid-century aesthetic.
Outdoor spaces are also being redesigned to expand usable living areas and better connect the home to the surrounding desert landscape.
Project Status
Construction is currently underway, with the renovation expected to significantly transform the home’s layout, functionality, and connection to its environment.
Updated photography and a full project reveal will be added once construction is completed.
