Northwood by Ralph Haver

Northwood is a historic mid-century modern neighborhood in Phoenix, Arizona.

Photo Gallery

It was built between 1953 and 1957 by Ralph Haver. If you’re interested in buying a home in Northwood, the neighborhood offers homes on large lots of 9,000 to 10,000 square feet. They have 3 to 5 bedrooms with 1.75 to 3 bathrooms and range in size from 1,288 to 2,507 square feet.

The block homes in the neighborhood come in three elevations. The low-pitch gable end, the low-slung roof with flat carport, and the center ridge low-slung design. All of these designs are accentuated by either clerestory windows or a front window wall. A variety in color, breeze block, and landscaping make this a very nice neighborhood.

Sitting just northwest of Glendale Avenue and 12th Street, Northwood is on the edge of North Central within walking distance to local favorites Luci’s at The Orchard and Pomelo.
